And the fact that it forces you to keep your phone on you at all times can get annoying. That it normally costs $300 only reaffirms that. Now, clearly, the Arccos isn’t for casual players. Tools like the Game Golf (or newer Game Golf Live ) work similarly, but, as various reviews have suggested, the Arccos is altogether less intrusive while you play. It’s much better than the Shot Scope V2 and is our favorite device of this type. If you want a little bit more and have some more money to spend we’d highly recommend the Arccos system. Since the Arccos is largely accurate in its tracking - and since the app isn’t too hard to adjust if something’s off - it’s like having an virtual caddy right in your phone. It’s much better than Zepp 2 in terms of build quality and accuracy. The idea is to use this to figure out which clubs work best for you in a specific situation, and see what parts of your skill set you should work on next. GGL regularly got confused about one hole on my course and would register shots near the 8th green as being from the 9th tee. GGL is the only one to reliably detect every shot because I had to manually tag each shot and just made it part of my shot routine. When you’re done, Arccos takes everything it’s tracked and breaks down your round in terms of drives, putts, chip shots, approach shots, or shots from sand traps. I’ve used Shotscope, Arccos and Game Golf Live. I record the number of putts per hole and the length of the first putt for each hole. Arccos guesses where the hole is, and it might be somewhat accurate 25 of the time. (Arccos says it has maps for nearly 25,000 courses across the US, Canada, and Europe.) I'm glad to hear that this works so well for Shot Scope. So which one should you choose Both systems will work well. The Arccos system can range from 50-100 more expensive than the Game Golf system. It sends all this data back to the Arccos app, which uses your phone’s GPS to show you exactly where you are on whatever course you’re playing. The Arccos 360 golf sensor system does have slightly better accuracy than the Game Golf system, but that comes at a cost. It notes down how many swings you’ve taken with each club, how far, and in what direction, each shot has gone, how far you are from the hole, and so on. As you do, the Arccos will quietly collect data about how you’re doing. iPhone App/Belt device: ARCCOS uses your iPhone to run the GPS and tags, while GAME Golf has a belt clip that GPS tags each location and then builds your stats on the computer post round. The Arccos Caddie works with Arccos Smart Sensors and offers up an incredible amount of data to help you play your best golf.
